The Challenge
Your challenge this time is to write a six-word biography about a staff member (from the +about page) based on what you can learn from their profile! Anyone can enter, simply find a staff member, write your six-word story, and submit it to us!

The Theme
As with all of our festivities the theme of this contest is to show appreciation to the staff members of deviantART. However, your challenge this time is to create a piece of art that represents a staff member based on what you know about him/her or what you can find on his/her profile! Your art can be ANYTHING: a statue, a painting, an emote, a stamp, a comic, really ANYTHING!

`JamminJo is our interview committee leader, and she has been working very hard to bring us some juicy interviews for this year's week of fun!

Our idea contest had a great turnout, and our judges are going to begin judging as soon as possible! Hopefully we'll announce the winners within the week.

Hello everyone, and welcome to our second annual deviantART Staff Appreciation Week! We hope that you're as excited as we are to kick off a 7-day-long celebration of deviantART and the people who make it run smoothly for us!
For this week of contests, projects, love, points, prizes, more love, and devious shenanigans, our team of volunteers has worked very hard to organize many ways of telling the staff of deviantART, rather simply, "THANK YOU!"

This article marks the latest announcements detailing the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 900 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

How did you discover deviantART, is there a story behind your journey here?
Throughout 1999/2000 I was an active member of several wallpaper/skinning websites and I happened to notice an 'affiliates' button on one of them which led back to deviantART so I checked it out and wound up joining just about a month after deviantART launched. I really liked the fact that only deviantART had an "IndyArt" category at the time which accepted non-wallpaper resolutions so being more of a sketch artist then wallpaper artist I eventually stopped going to all the other websites where I was a member. Now that I really think about it most of those early communities either don't exist any more or they aren't recognizable as what

Suggest-a-thon Winner!For the last few months, I've been running the Suggest-a-thon, my first Community Challenge. Recently, there have been a lot of people complaining about the quality of Daily Deviations, and I wanted to try and change that. A participant in the challenge was required to suggest as many Daily Deviations as they could. #StaffAppreciation is happy to announce the first deviantART Staff Appreciation Week-related contest of 2012!

The deviantART Staff Appreciation Week (dASAW) kicked off with a bang in its first year (2011) and the response was overwhelming. Our goal is to promote positive community relations between deviants. We do this by creating relationships between the staff and the community, and by showing the staff that we really do appreciate all of their hard work!

Anyone can participate in our events and contests!

This contest is a little different from normal because the dASAW hasn't begun yet! For this, anyone can enter, and this is the theme: submit your ideas for a great dASAW event! Your idea can be anything from a chat contest to a week-long event that involves a variety of media. This is your chance to get your opinion heard, because the chosen deviant's idea will be employed during our official deviantART Staff Appreciation Week!

Absolutely anyone can enter, regardless of artistic background, talent, or skill! Simply submit an idea to us!
