This was taken at Zuccotti Park, where the Occupy Wall Street Movement is currently taking place. I spent a few hours there yesterday to see if I could become more familiar with the participants' goals as protesters and activists. The more I research this tense and convoluted issue, the more I support them.

They are entirely non-violent, and have been living in Zuccotti Park for nine days in order to bring awareness and "protest" the fact that, as American economy declines, politicians and CEOs of companies continue to get their salaries increased. The issues are larger than that, but the protests have moved all over the world, including Los Angeles, Madrid, and Toronto. There are upwards of ten movements that have begun, I believe.

I thought that this picture, which was taken spur-of-the-moment captured the pacifistic and serene setting in the park.

Recently, the movement in New York City has gotten attention because the New York Police Department has seriously been violent towards the protesters, and if you don't believe me even though I've seen it, you can watch this video of innocent female protesters being maced in the face by police officers.
