That's right. This emote is 2MB, 291 frames, 50+ layers, and still not how I planned it to be. I decidedly hate walk animations/bouncing animations because: a) I'm not good at them yet, and b) they're so repetitive!
But above all, even if this isn't how I planned, I am satisfied. It took awhile to make, too.
It's for =SparklyDest's February EMTC! It was one of my new year's resolutions to participate in every one this year!
I suggest you watch it once without thinking about focusing on anything, and then again focusing on Kwerti's (the orange one's) expressions, since I guarantee you'll miss it the first time.

I might have to post-edit this to fix the speed issues.
The thing that stands out first of all for me is the wonderfully clean and accurate lines used here. Great job on that, it really helps to make the whole thing look that much more professional.
I can see you are still struggling to find movement animations that your satisfied with, my suggestion here would be, for the blue one dragging the coin over, the seperate the movement of the coin and hands from the movement of the emote's body itself. Both need to keep moving in that direction but I think the idea of movement being a little delayed between those bits would give the emote a sort of 'weak arms' kind of action, although of course you don't see any arms, it just makes the object look heavier than the emote and creates the drag effect.
I also love the way you used dithering so well to shade everything, although I think it might be nice to add additional colour into the red area of the machine, although this could be quite hard, since even adding slightly different shades of slightly different hues always helps images to visually pop more than those that simply go from light to dark in the same hue (hope that made a little sense but trust me, it might not sound so logical but I've used it to great effect with coloured pencil drawings and it really works!)
The little gumballs are adorable and move well for the effect of being contained within the glass bowl. Qwerti's emotions are indeed not worth missing, although I still feel that the mouth moves a little too fast or out of time to accurately portray the effect of the entire emote's face moving to look in a different direction.
I can tell you've really put a HEAP of work into this, and I love the end result. Well done on keeping to your new years resolution and I can already see you improving in leaps and bounds. Make sure you keep up the hard work, I look forward to seeing you improve more!
This is so cute! It's a very cool idea and I liked how you used your character in it. Idea and creation-wise, I love the story line and how your emote's like "NO! I AM NOT A GUMBALL! GET ME OUT!" and all that. I also noticed that you used the correct proportions between the emotes and the machine (how the machine and the coin were very large compared to the emote, showing that the emotes were small)! Mechanically, it's also well done! Some of the colors could've popped more for me, just to get more of my attention. I also thought that it could've had a longer ending; maybe telling what happened to you when you got carried off by the blue emote, because in the scene you were just an orange gumball (so maybe you could of shown your character being eaten as you transformed back into an emote or something along those lines). But overall, it was a very entertaining animation with an awesome story line and very well-drawn emotes! Great job!
This is the nicest, most colorful comment I've ever gotten on my page! I wish I could keep it FOREVER. Thank you so much for gracing my page with such a lovely thing.
