Description

//Edit: Thanks to =flareblitz for reminding me that I had to make it a square photo.
I officially am unhappy with it. If I ever show people the picture, I'm showing them the rectangular one, since I hate the square one. Oh well.

Like plagiarism. Or art theft. I know where to find you. :threaten:
No, but really. Don't.

This was made for the 1000 DEVIANTS, 1000 CRANES community project. Go :+favlove: fave the news article to spread the word! Maybe even make your own origami crane! :D

What I learned from this:
That I am terribly impatient.
That you should never rehydrate Chinese ink with water.
That you ought to keep a backup supply of rice paper on hand.

I had to make my own patterned paper because I don't do origami frequently. ^^; So, I stamped some rice paper with a chop (a stamp) of my Chinese name in characters, which I bought in China. Paper cranes are Japanese, for the record.

BUT...every time I used the flippin' rice paper, I messed up! This is the second paper crane I've ever made. And the first was just a practice one! xD

So, I then cut down some printer paper and used that.
吴知书 is my Chinese name...but you can't really see it.

OHOHOH, and the red character was accidentally found, because some of the ink had dried on my stamp. It's literally the size of my fingernail, and probably a nanonmeter thick! xD :O I just happened to find it, and I thought it added an element to this.

Post-edited a little in Photoshop, mainly contrast and colors.

Please give me feedback and such, all is encouraged and appreciated! :)
